This policy explains what information Simplified My Wealth collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It is written for a beta product and will evolve.

This document is honest, product-accurate scaffolding written by the team. The legal wording still requires review by a qualified attorney before public launch.

Information we collect
Account information. When you sign up we collect your email address and authentication details needed to secure your account.
Financial data. When you connect an institution through Plaid, we receive account balances, holdings, transactions, and related details on a read-only basis. When you enter values manually (such as property values or retirement goals), we store what you provide.
Usage data. We may collect basic, aggregated analytics about how the product is used to improve reliability and performance.
How we use information
We use your information to operate the dashboard, sync and display your accounts, calculate projections you request, secure your account, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal financial data.
Third parties
We use Plaid to connect to your financial institutions and Supabase to host authentication and data. These providers process data on our behalf so the product can function. Plaid's handling of your data is also governed by Plaid's own end-user policies.
Data retention and deletion
We retain your data while your account is active. You can disconnect institutions at any time to remove their synced data. Full self-service account deletion is not yet available in this beta; to request deletion, contact support@simplifiedmywealth.com.
Your choices
You can export your data at any time from Settings, disconnect institutions, and update your notification preferences. Notification preferences are in-app settings.
Changes to this policy
Because the product is in beta, this policy may change. We will update the date at the top when we make material changes.
